Geely Group Motorsport has ramped up the production of the Lynk & Co 03 TCR race cars ahead of the 2020 season following earlier delays in body shell deliveries.
"We are in the process of completing further 2020 cars for deliveries," said Ron Hartvelt, Customer Sport Director of Geely Group Motorsport.
"Start up delays in deliveries of body shells from China has meant that we have had to reschedule our plans. But the support from the team in Hangzhou has been tremendous and we are on track to catch back up."
The order books for 2020 opened in September 2019 and the first cars have been delivered to Cyan Racing for the FIA World Touring Car Cup programme, as well as to customers in China.
Development of the Lynk & Co 03 TCR race car started mid-2018 by Geely Group Motorsport and the first cars made their racing debut in the 2019 WTCR with Cyan Racing that claimed the World Title for teams.
The race car features a two-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine with 350 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque. The car is front-wheel driven and is equipped with a six-speed sequential gearbox. The total weight is 1265 kilos including driver, as per the regulations.
