The reigning World Champions Lynk & Co Cyan Racing will be back in the 2020 FIA World Touring Car Cup with four cars, preparing for an even tougher challenge this season.
“Our goal is clear, we want to continue challenging for the top this season, which we expect to be even tougher than last year,” said Christian Dahl, CEO and founder of Cyan Racing.
Cyan Racing claimed its third straight World Title last season following one of the toughest title battles for many years. The team took its Lynk & Co 03 TCR cars to eight race wins and 21 podiums, against tough competition from drivers and teams representing Hyundai, Honda, Cupra and more.
"The result of last year with a brand-new race car, in a brand-new programme with Lynk & Co is a true testament to the strong efforts of everyone involved, from Sweden to China," said Christian Dahl."
"We need to consolidate this and continue to move forward as our competitors are not resting. But neither are we and we have developed our organisation and processes over the winter in order to face the challenges of 2020."
Drivers for the four cars, which are divided into the two teams Cyan Racing Lynk & Co and Cyan Performance Lynk & Co, will be revealed shortly.
The 2020 FIA WTCR season is set to start on May 20-23 at the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife in Germany, this following the cancellation of the Hungaroring event on April 24-26 due to the coronavirus outbreak.
