Lynk & Co Cyan Racing heads home from the FIA World Touring Car Cup weekend in France in double points lead after three podium finishes from two eventful races.
The first race at the twisty Pau-Arnos circuit saw Thed Björk finishing second, his second podium finish of the season.
"I'm really pleased to be back on the podium and it's been a solid weekend for the team. The final part of the second race was fantastic, everything happened and I was able to gain a couple of places. There is no doubt that the final two races of 2021 will be very tough and exciting," said Thed Björk.
Yvan Muller started from pole in the second race but dropped one place to finish second, with Santiago Urrutia fighting hard to third place - making it a double Lynk & Co Cyan Racing podium.
"Two podiums in the second race is a strong result for the team. Unfortunately we couldn't take advantage of the pole, but we still got very important points with second," said Yvan Muller.
"I'm very happy to finish on the podium after a very tough race. The championship is really tight and everyone wants to win. I believe strongly in the team and I'm aiming for the win in the next race," said Santiago Urrutia.
Points leader Yann Ehrlacher had a mixed weekend, finishing eighth in the first race and fought his way to fifth position in the eventful second race by a margin of 72 thousands of a second.
"It's been two tough races with a lot of contact. I'm really pleased to have scored the points, we are still leading while the points gap is getting a bit closer. This will make the work a bit more intense ahead of the last two race weekends that I'm very much looking forward to," said Yann Ehrlacher.
Yann Ehrlacher heads the standings by 16 points over Hyundai driver Jean-Karl Vernay and Cyan Racing Lynk & Co (Ehrlacher/Muller) heads the teams' standings by 42 points over Honda team Münnich Motorsport.
The next WTCR race will take place at Adria in Italy on November 6-7.
