Young talent Viktor Andersson will be back in TCR Europe and is aiming high for the 2024 season, with team MA:GP having bought a new Lynk & Co 03 TCR.
"Last year was my debut in international touring car racing and it really left me with a taste for more, we are definitely aiming higher this year," said Viktor Andersson.
The Swede finished fifth overall in his debut TCR Europe season, ending the season with a maiden podium finish in Barcelona.
The 2024 season will see him in a Lynk & Co 03 TCR which MA:GP recently bought from Geely Group Motorsport, while the one he raced last year has been sold to a team in TCR UK.
"We have completed one test back home in Sweden with the new car and the feeling is excellent," said Viktor Andersson.
"2023 was a learning year not only for me, but also for the team. We took some pretty big steps forward towards the end of the season and I can't wait to put our learnings into action for 2024, hopefully hitting the ground running. My ambition is to break into the top three overall."
Next up for Viktor Andersson and MA:GP is Vallelunga in Italy and the TCR Europe season opener on April 19-21.
"We are glad to see MA:GP and Viktor Andersson taking on a new TCR Europe season with the Lynk & Co 03 TCR of Geely Group Motorsport. They are no doubt facing a competitive season and we're looking forward to continuing our cooperation with them which started back in 2021 when they were racing in Scandinavia," said Ron Hartvelt, Customer Sport Director of Geely Group Motorsport.
The Lynk & Co 03 TCR is represented by customer teams to Geely Group Motorsport in the FIA TCR World Tour, TCR Europe, TCR Australia, TCR China, TCR South America and TCR UK in 2024.
