Reigning world champion team Lynk & Co Cyan Racing has entered four Lynk & Co 03 TCR race cars of the latest generation for the 2024 KUMHO FIA TCR World Tour season.
"We are proud to start our ninth consecutive season in world touring cars this year where our goal is firmly set on defending our teams' title and bringing the drivers' title back home," said Fredrik Wahlén, Team Manager of Cyan Racing.
"We are glad to see the TCR World Tour gaining FIA status and we have no doubt that the championship will be even more competitive this year, a challenge which further motivates every single team member of Cyan Racing."
The four drivers for the 2024 FIA TCR World Tour represent the most successful line-up of the championship with a total of three world titles and multiple world touring car race wins.
The line-up includes double touring car world champion Yann Ehrlacher, 2017 world champion Thed Björk and multiple world touring car race winners Santiago Urrutia and Ma Qing Hua.
"I am proud to keep representing Lynk & Co Cyan Racing in the TCR World Tour. I am as motivated for 2024 as I was for my first season with the team in 2019. We have a strong package with the Lynk & Co 03 TCR and I definitely feel ready for the challenges to come," said Yann Ehrlacher.
"I'm thrilled to start my 13th season with the team and continue our successful run together. I'm inspired by everyone's motivation and commitment to defend our team title and bring back the driver's title. We've had a good off-season with preparations ahead of the coming season and I'm more than ready," said Thed Björk.
"I'm super excited to be back for my fifth season with Cyan Racing and I'm counting the days to go back racing. It will be a really challenging season with a lot of new circuits and competitors, but I know that everyone in the team has worked really hard to improve during the off-season and I have a good feeling," said Santiago Urrutia.
"I'm proud to keep representing Lynk & Co Cyan Racing in the TCR World Tour and I'm especially excited for this season as we return to racing in my home country China. My aim is clearly set on moving forward in the standings this year, as well as defending the team title, and I am confident that we have what it takes to do just that," said Ma Qing Hua.
Cyan Racing returns to the KUMHO FIA TCR World Tour, which has gained recognition from the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) for 2024, as reigning team world champions following a successful 2023 season which resulted in the team’s sixth touring car team world title in just seven years.
"Cyan Racing's track record over the past seven years is one of a kind and we are delighted to see them embark on a new season in the KUMHO FIA TCR World Tour," said Alexander Murdzevski Schedvin, Head of Geely Group Motorsport.
"We look forward to continuing our support to their work with the Lynk & Co 03 TCR of Geely Group Motorsport in the very pinnacle of world touring competition."
